Faculty Positions | Location: Denver, CO 80202
A private institution of higher education in Denver dedicated to educating students for the diverse opportunities offered by careers in nursing and other medical fields is looking for the full-time and adjunct nursing faculty members and adjunct general education faculty members.

Nursing Faculty | Location: Denver, CO 80202

Denver School of Nursing, located in Denver Colorado, is currently seeking Nursing Faculty.  Nursing faculty are professionals with the education and practice skills to prepare the next generation of nurses. 

 

Faculty would be accountable for:

Implementation of the approved curriculum based on the mission and philosophy of the nursing program and the College/Campus

Providing students with opportunities to acquire the knowledge and practice the skills identified in course objectives using varied and appropriate teaching methods

Plan learning activities to meet program outcomes based on the standards set by policies, legal and other regulatory requirements, and acceptable practice

Participate in the program’s evaluation and continuous improvement process and engage in personal professional development

Associate Dean of Nursing | Location: Denver

Denver School of Nursing, located in Dever Colorado, is currently seeking an Associate Dean of Nursing. This person seves as a role model and provides academic and administrative leadership to faculty and students.  They provide visionary leadership to the faculty for the planning, designing, implementation, and evaluation of teaching effectiveness, and curriculum.  Assist in creating an environment conducive to teaching and learning.  Developing and maintaining a professional relationship with the community and DSN administration.  Provide and coordinate communication to President, Dean of Nursing, Nursing Faculty, Coordinators, Director of General Education, and students.  They oversee the Clinical Education Department and provide mentoring for the faculty.

 

Qualifications:

1)         Doctorate in Nursing is preferred or Masters of Science in Nursing Degree with plan for doctoral work;

2)         Must hold BSN and MSN;

3)         Must hold a current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado or a compact state;

4)         Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in clinical nursing practice, education and management;

Dean of Nursing | Location: Denver, CO

Denver School of Nursing, located in Denver Colorado, is seeking a dynamic Dean of Nursing. She/he reports directly to the Regional Dean of Nursing and is responsible and accountable for the administration, operations and development of the Nursing Programs. The Dean of Nursing provides leadership to faculty and assumes responsibility for evaluation of the Nursing Programs, as required by the Board of Nursing and other accrediting agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Provide creative leadership for the School of Nursing and motivate and support the development of the faculty, as teachers and expert professionals.

-Foster the development and maintenance of educational programs of high quality and professional relevance that are supportive of the mission and goals of the campus.

-Assist faculty in developing effective, efficient teaching strategies; orient new faculty to teaching roles; and, assist Adjunct Instructors in the preparation of course materials, tests and related materials.

-Conduct ongoing evaluation of faculty and staff and maintain a system for assuring current credentials for nursing faculty.

-Assist in the implementation of faculty development courses, programs and conferences, in cooperation with faculty development professionals.

Qualifications:

Must have a current unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse. Ph.D. or Doctorate in Nursing or a related is field required, with at least five years of progressive Nursing academic administrative experience, as well as demonstrated curriculum development and evaluation experience and an understanding of, and involvement in, regulatory agency adherence. Candidate must be able to multitask, be well organized and have excellent interpersonal skills.
